E-Learning Script/Storyboard Author - From source materials, designed training modules and interactions in storyboard form for six separate e-Learning courses including orientation and training for Disney Resort employees in specific positions, specialized safety training, labor operations and Department Of Transportation Commercial Entry-level Driver.

Independence University, formerly California College of Health Sciences (CCHS), Salt Lake City, UT Telecommuting contracts (Aug. 2004-Aug. 2005)

Instructional Designer/Flash Developer/Web Developer/Technical Writer - Researched viral advertising and created several storyboard ideas for a viral ad/demonstration course to market CCHS' online program of training to medical professionals and staff. Created interactive, Flash based e-Learning/media objects, designed to draw XML content from files. Designed and developed two e-Learning courses teaching CCHS instructors and students how to use the ANGEL learning management system (LMS) and collaboration portal.

Resource Bridge, LLC (eLearning), Schaumburg, IL  Contract (June 2003-July 2003)

Instructional Design Consultant – Designed and developed storyboards and quick reference guides for a number of web-based Sales Training Certification courses at Computer Associates (CA).  Created internal training materials for and supervised Resource Bridge team members in developing quick reference guides for CA.

Instructional Design Consultant -- Researched, designed, developed and wrote training lessons for an instructor-led training course teaching University of Illinois registration and records employees how to use SCT's Banner ERP system – The Catalog and Scheduling Modules.

Researched, designed, developed and wrote training lessons for an instructor-led training course that taught University of Illinois financial aid employees how to use SCT's Banner ERP system  – The Document Tracking and Verification Module.

Senior Instructional Design Consultant  - Coordinated instructional design, planned and managed projects, coached/supervised designers, reviewed instructional materials. Designed, developed and wrote training courses in Web-Based, Instructor-Led and Notes-Based formats:


Web-Based Design and Development Projects

Chosen by interview process by an Andersen web development team to head up the instructional design, development and pilot of eight overview and 48 reinforcement Web-Based Training (WBT) courses for a top engineering firm client in Austin, TX. Courses taught employees how to use new J.D. Edwards OneWorld system. Supervised the development of course content, working closely with experts and client managers.

Project lead for a WBT course teaching good contracting skills to Business Consulting partners. Created and maintained the workplan and budget using MS Project 2000 and Excel, monitored status, assigned and managed development tasks. Worked closely with sponsors and subject matter experts. Supervised and assisted in the design and development of web pages and JavaScript-based learning interactions.

Primary designer and developer of a seven-module WBT course, "Value-Based Management." Created web pages using Dreamweaver, Visio, Photoshop and Cool Edit 2000 (audio). Converted paper-based materials to WBT through information chunking, sequencing of material and employing web-based interactions.

Designed and developed modules in WBT course to teach Partners how to manage projects using a newly developed, firm-wide consulting methodology called, "Architected Solutions," that was required on all major engagements after Sept. 2001.


Instructor-led Design and Development Projects

Worked closely with a new internet-based professional services company to create their classroom training and accompanying user manuals.

Updated the case study and activities at the core of a course delivered to newly-hired Senior Consultants and Managers.

Organized and conducted live learning events and meetings via the web using Placeware and Webex.

Researched and wrote reviews on distance learning topics for competency teams.

Farmington Hills (MI) and Kingston (NY) Churches of Christ (1989-1999)

Teaching/Minister - Researched, wrote and taught three classes a week to the congregation. Wrote and edited church bulletins, wrote weekly articles for the local newspapers and created several brief commentaries that were aired on local radio.

WKNY and WFGB Radio - After graduating O.U., worked as On-Air Announcer and Community Program Director for 2+ years before leaving for school in Dallas.
